Although I cannot attest to being a huge fan of Lady Gaga’s music (and actually muted the video about 60 seconds in my first time watching), the video for her new single “Bad Romance” had me glued and alert due to the INSANE styling. The erratic hand movement and Thriller-esque moves I could do without. But a few things that especially made me gag were the mesh caged nails (I have a thing for mesh presented in unpredictable ways in fashion), the crown of crystal chandelier, and I LIVE for 3:30, so just fast forward if you must.

Donning 12-inch Alexander McQueen heels and serving us a hot chant (hands down my favorite scene of the video), Gaga never disappoints for those engrossed in all things avant garde, fantastical and majestic. Even though she has in the past left me unable to interpret what she was going for (which is rarely the case – but let’s think the 2009 VMAs), if she likes it, then I love it. She is definitely able to pull off the unimaginable, and my only hope is that she stays consistent and owns it – for as long she has left on the clock to do so. Also, there is a bra shooting flames at 5:00….WHAT!
