I’m always happy to attend a show put together by Dana Ayanna Greaves, also known as Artistic Aya. My first live exposure to her creativity was at an installation she held last winter at Civilian Art Projects in the Penn Quarter area (think Gallery Place on down to Archives Metro station). As frazzled as she admitted to being upon our first introduction, she still exuded a calm stance with a vibrant spirit. That same vibrance has been conveyed through all of her work I’ve seen ever since and I’m sure this Saturday will be no different. The trunk show will feature a collection of handmade jewelry, scarves, and illustrations to add to your personal repertoire. You don’t have to eat before the event because Azi’s Cafe has a whole heap of panini, sandwich, coffee, and dessert options on site to satiate you through your Saturday afternoon.
